5 HEALTHY SMOOTHIE RECIPES

We know how staying healthy can often take a lot of time and effort, especially if you've just started your journey to a healthy eating lifestyle. So we've come up with 5 healthy, yet still extremely delicious smoothie recipes to help you kickstart this lifestyle. You can enjoy these delicious smoothies in the morning as breakfast or lunch... or anytime really, the choice is yours! All of these recipes offer a ton of nutrition as well as heaps of fibre and lots of protein. We've also included other health benefits some of these ingredients include. Happy smoothie-ing?!!!

 TROPICAL GREEN MACHINE

 

You'll need

  • A handful of baby spinach
  • 4 sprigs of fresh mint 
  • 1 tablespoon of black or white chia seeds
  • 1/2 a fresh mango or 5 cubes of a frozen one
  • 1/2 a cup of fresh pineapple or 5 cubes of a frozen one
  • 1 cup of coconut water

Place all the ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until it has become your desired consistency. For a thicker, more sorbet like smoothie (if you're using frozen mango & pineapple), blend for about 10/15 seconds. For a runny smoothie, blend for 30/35 seconds. Add more water if necessary. Once your smoothie is complete, pour it into a bowl and decorate it as you like OR POUR IT INTO A CUP AND SIP AS YOU GO.

  • 5 fresh or frozen raspberries 
  • 5 fresh or frozen strawberries 
  • 1 tablespoon of black or white chia seeds
  • 1 cup of skinny milk or any unsweetened nut milk

  • 3/4 cup of almond milk

For a thicker, more sorbet like smoothie (if you're using frozen bananas), blend for about 10/15 seconds. For a runny smoothie, blend for 30/35 seconds. Add more milk if necessary.
